My name is Len Pense.

I was born during the great depression and grew up through WW2 when everyone had victory Gardens. I was the youngest of 6 children and our family had some great gardens. Back then if you didn’t raise it you didn’t have it. It also taught me what food was supposed to taste like. (It ruined me forever in buying the so-called fresh produce from the store.)

I have gardened all my life. Even while spending several years in the military, I always managed to have a small garden wherever I was stationed.

I moved to the Ozark Mountains in Missouri around 25 years ago and discovered that just because you buy land here does not mean you get any dirt with it. It is all rocks. This has turned out to be a blessing in disguise because it forced me to develop the method I am now sharing with you.

I found a very secluded 21 acres on top of an Ozark mountain and proceeded to build my garden beds and an outdoor kitchen with a wood burning cook stove. I had no intention of telling anyone where I was or what I was doing.

At the end of January of 2005, I was in the office of the wholesale supplier where I buy most of the materials to put in my beds, when their agronomist cornered me and asked, “Len what are you doing with all this material you are buying from us? I know you are not retailing it.”

I said, “Bill, if you will not tell anybody you can come out and I will show you what I am doing.”

Well, he did, and it blew his mind. He said, “Len this is one heck of an Idea. I have a gardening call-in radio show on Saturday. Would you come on as a guest? We won’t tell any one where you are but just talk about what you are doing.” I agreed, and the first week of February 2005 I went on the air with him.

As we started explaining my process of how to build a raised-bed, organic, weed free garden, the phones started ringing off the hook with people wanting to know how they could do this.

About 40 minutes into the hour-long show it hit me that I needed to share this. People needed to know how to have fresh wholesome vegetables and fruit. I told Bill that I was going to teach hands-on classes on my method. During the last 20 minutes of the show 67 people signed up for classes.

Now, at my age I had no intention of starting a new business. But I love what I do, I love gardening, and I love sharing with others this lifestyle.

Being an engineer, I have dealt for many years with several departments of our government as a security consultant. I decided years ago that we could be in for some very hard times and I needed to be prepared to feed my extended family. And you do too! What better way than with wholesome foods grown organically, in a proven system that provides more food, in less space, with less work?

The word is spreading rapidly across the nation and now is in your hands. This puts the fun back in gardening, (no weeds) you don’t even need a hoe. You can grow 4 times the produce per square foot than you would digging in the dirt and with less than 10% of the effort.

Build your beds and enjoy the finest, healthiest, Greatest tasting food you have ever eaten.
